Desert Island Desserts

Daily prompt – Junk food junkie

“What’s your biggest junk food weakness? Tell us all about it in its sugary, salty, glory.”

I hope this works – I am responding to a daily prompt on WordPress: They ask a question and you answer, the idea being you use a pingback so my blog shows up in a list with everyone else’s that replied…..Being a complete newbie, I have no idea if this will work so I am giving it a go…………

Most people I know seem to think I am über healthy……….well I used to be………so this may come as a surprise to some of those I know…………that I actually quite enjoy junk food these days, especially the sweet stuff……………Being a nutritionist aren’t I ‘supposed to know better’? Well yes I am but I am human and I am normal (sort of) so that doesn’t mean I have to take any notice of my own advice does it?! Not all the time anyway 🙂 I did confess to all on Facebook last week to sitting on the sofa with a large spoon and a rather large trifle (all on my own).

So this leads me onto dessert. I have often thought about what food I would take with me to a dessert island.  This is a really tricky one for me so I think I will do a list of my most favourite puds – these are not necessarily in order of preference……………

  1. Sherry Trifle
  2. Cheesecake (not fussed on type 🙂 )
  3. Key lime pie
  4. Lemon meringue pie
  5. Pavlova (raspberry please)
  6. Bakewell tart and custard
  7. Apple crumble and custard
  8. Toasted waffles, ice cream, maple syrup n’ nuts
  9. Warm chocolate brownie and ice cream
  10. Lemon tart with cream

I could carry but I need to go get some pudding now 😉

Oh and my pingback worked yippee!
